Partner Engineer

Core Purpose:

The Partner Engineer's goal is to help nurture and enable technology and channel partners to assist our customer-facing teams in creating sales pipeline, winning deals, and helping customers to realize value from the Usermind’s Experience Orchestration (XO) Platform.


  • Participate in, and lead where appropriate, product demos, requirements gathering, and solutions design at various stages of the sales process
  • Create customized demos and proofs of concept (occasionally live Pilots) to showcase the platform's technical capabilities and business value stories 
  • Support the sales and partner teams in deals including RFIs, RFPs, co-selling, and working with Technical Architects to define project requirements 
  • Enable partners on the technical capabilities of the platform including key points of differentiation
  • Design, develop, and deliver technical training & enablement in conjunction with Product and Customer Success teams
  • Identify and document joint solution best practices for selling and deployment
  • Synthesize product feedback and requirements from partners and customers

Key Qualifications/Previous Experience 

  • 5+ years experience in an Enterprise sales or customer role — e.g. Solutions Consulting, Sales Engineering, Partner Engineering, Solutions Architecture, or Customer Success
  • Deep understanding of the customer engagement landscape (MarTech, Ad Tech, Customer Data Platforms, Customer Experience, and other SaaS systems)
  • Familiarity with integrations technologies and the various approaches to customer data management
  • Experience building live POC’s as part of the sales process to achieve a technical win
  • Experience conducting workshops to collaboratively define solutions and POCs with the customer
  • Ability to work cross-functionality with the Partner, Sales, Solution Consulting, and outside teams to achieve success
  • Comfortable workshopping and engaging with technical architects to explain the Usermind solution and to identify preferred deployment approaches
  • Self-starter with strong communication skills who is comfortable in a dynamic and ambiguous early-stage environment
